Sampada Sonalkar is a graduate student in Computer Science at Columbia University. She is working in the Distributed Embedded Systems Group. Her advisor is Prof. Luca Carloni. She is also affiliated with the Gigascale Systems Research Center.

Her research interests include Design Automation, Formal Methods, Programming models for Multi-Core Architectures, Embedded Systems, and Programming Languages.

Sampada has a Bachelor's degree in Computer Engineering from University of Mumbai, India and a Master's degree in Computer Science from Indian Institute of Technology Bombay.

In the past Sampada has worked at General Motors R&D, Bangalore, India in the Embedded Control Systems Group.
She has also worked as a Research Assistant at the Center for Formal Design and Verification of Software, IIT Bombay.
