Cloud and Mobile Security Seminar -- Spring 2013 |
There will be absolutely no late turn-ins or deadline extensions for any part of this course, including project report submission, paper or project presentations, or paper reviews. For any late turn-in, you will get a zero score for that assignment. There are also no extra credit points. If you miss an assignment, its points cannot be recovered.
In exceptional circumstances that can be properly documented, such as a medical situation or some type of grave emergency, we will provide extensions on a case by case basis. In such situations, you will need documentation for the emergency you are facing.
The project is a team effort. We will require you to specify which project member was in charge of which project component. Beyond your project group, whenever you obtain inspiration from someone else's work, you must cite it appropriately.
You can discuss any aspect of the papers ahead of class with others, however you must write your reviews alone. If you take others' ideas for your reviews, you must cite the sources appropriately.
If you disagree with any homework grade, submit your grievance via email to the TA, documenting the merits of your case. The grader responsible will respond likewise via email. If you are still dissatisfied you may appeal in like manner to the instructor, who will only examine the email record of the dispute, and will respond in email. If you disagree with any exam grade, submit your exam and grievance in writing (not email) to the grader responsible, documenting the merits of your case. For a grade dispute to be considered, the written grievance must be submitted in writing within two weeks of when the respective assignment or exam is returned.
