My academic life includes a Masters
from the Electrical Engineering
Department
at Columbia University, with
Prof. Dan Rubenstein.
We worked on Peer-to-Peer (P2P) networks.
I also hold an MSc. in Logic,
Algorithms and Theory of Computation from the InterUniversity
program organized by the National
University of Athens and the National
Technical University of Athens.I
completed the program under the supervision of Professor Evangelos
Kranakis of Carleton
University, where I completed my master's thesis.
My undergraduate degree is in Physics
from the University of Patras
with distinction in the first two years and the final
year.
During these years I also worked for two years as a Network
Administrator for an ISP company in Greece (West
Hellas Net) that was a local partner of Hellas
On Line.
I was also affiliated with the Electrical
Engineering Department and the Applied
Electronics Laboratory as a PhD/Researcher.

- Present
Network Security Laboratory (NSL),
research in the area of DDoS Attacks.
Implemented the WebSOS
architecture and deployed it on PlanetLab
Spring 2002
- Spring 2003:
Design and implementation of a novel peer to peer client/server
protocol in Java.
Performed Internet experiments to measure our protocol with
up to 180 nodes in various locations around the world.
