I was a research staff in CS at Columbia University, My advisor is Prof. Henning Schulzrinne.
In the recent past, I was doing research in the area application management(failure and performance) for end user applications and applications deployed in cloud environment.

I also investigated use of virtualization for scalability and reliability of VoIP and issues related to it.
In the past, I worked on SIP/SIMPLE based presence technology. More details can be found at Presence Project Page.
We developed benchmarking standard for presence server called as SIMPLEstone, scalability architecture for presence deployment, presence traffic optimization techniques and applied presence in different application(SABIT) scenarios.
