I was a PhD student in Columbia University's Natural Language Processing Group. My advisor was Kathy McKeown.

My main research interest and dissertation topic is narrative reasoning; more generally, my interests cover natural language processing and symbolic AI.

I received a BS in Computer Science from Columbia in 2002, a corresponding MS in 2005 and an M.Phil in 2008. I successfully defended my thesis, "Modeling Narrative Discourse," in September 2011.

I separately worked here as a programmer, where I was involved with the Newsblaster project for Prof. McKeown as well as the CLiMB project for Judith Klavans.
