Hints for Recording Live Events
- Connect the audio input of the mixer, camcorder or workstation to
"house audio" via an audio transformer, rather than directly. This
reduces ground-loop hum for the single-ended "consumer" recording
devices and workstations.
- Do not try to capture both the speaker and the projection screen at
the same time. The contrast ratio is too high, so that the speaker will
appear as a dark shadow and the screen will be completely unreadable.
For most of the presentation, it is probably best to focus on the screen
rather than the speaker.
