Feb 11 1996 Sample 30 is the same as sample 11 (plaster square) only it will be taken at larger magnification. Normally the samples are imaged with the zoom setting at 1 tick above 60. Maximum zoom (90) did not seem like a large enough scale difference... So this set of images will be taken with the camera position radius decreased by 8 inches. The tripod position is rather crude, with floor markings and a paper template. The zoom is then set to maximum (90) settiing aperture to same as sample 11 (i.e. same as the plaster square taken at smaller zoom), which was between 11 and 16. z=353 p = 18 l = 168 after photometer measurements (taken at 8 inches closer I decided to move the camera to 12 inces closer instead of 8. and changed robot parameters to z=345 p = 18 l = 168 At position 1, the camera couldn't be aligned with template (that was displaced 12 inches from normal position) because of lamp holder. Made adjustments in orientation of camera to try to compensate. This problem will be tru of all the zoomed samples Noticed that height isn't very good, The z parameter was good for position 1 but quite bad for position 7. Didn't adjust height with slips of paper the way we did in the normal zoom samples. 4PM finished sample 30. realized I forgot number 29, so the sequence will be out of order, i.e. sample 29 is taken next.
