PAPER SUBMISSION GUIDELINES
Papers should not exceed 12 pages double column including figures and tables in standard ACM format. In addition, a 2-page appendix is permitted, where the appendix does not count towards the original 12 pages. Papers must be submitted electronically in printable pdf form; Templates for the standard ACM format can be found at this link. No changes to margins, spacing, or font sizes are allowed from those specified by the style file. Papers violating the formatting guidelines will be returned without review.
All submissions will be reviewed using a double-blind review process. The identity of authors and referees will not be revealed to each other. To ensure blind reviewing, authors names and affiliations should not appear in the paper; bibliographic references should be made in such a way as to preserve author anonymity. A limited number of submitted papers will be accepted for a poster session. Papers of particular merit will be forwarded to a journal for fast-tracking.
Warning: It is ACM policy not to allow double submissions, where the same paper is submitted to more than one conference/journal concurrently. Any double submissions detected will be immediately rejected from all conferences/journals involved.
PAPER SUBMISSION INSTRUCTIONS
We will be using the EDAS system for
submissions -- you will be required to sign up for a new EDAS account, if you
already do not have one.
To register a paper for SIGMETRICS 2008, please click

Alternatively, you may select the "Submit Paper" tab in your EDAS account,
scroll down to the SIGMETRICS 2008 row, and click on the orange paper submission
button.
The EDAS system will ask you to register the title and abstract of your paper.
The abstract should be in text format. You need to register your paper by
November 9, 2007, 23:59 EST. You will also be asked to select the paper topics
when registering your paper.
Once you have registered the paper, you will receive an email with an acknowledgment. You can login to the EDAS system at any later time to upload the manuscript of the paper. The deadline for the final version of submissions is November 16, 2007, 23:59 EST.
IMPORTANT DATES:
Note that the North American Eastern Standard Time (EST) is -0500 UTC.
- Posters should be approximately 4ft x 3 ft in size. You can prepare either a single large poster or several tiled pages that can be mounted on a 4ft x 3ft board.
- You should bring your printed poster to the conference.
- We do not have on-site printing facilities.
- The conference will provide easels and poster boards for displaying your poster. The poster board will be 4ft x 3ft in size. We will also provide thumb tacks to attach your poster to the poster board.
- One of the authors should plan on presenting the poster to the attendees during the poster session. You can optionally distribute long versions of a paper or a technical report describing your poster contents in more detail during the poster session.
