I am a Research Scientist at Thomson Legal and Regulatory in Minneapolis/St. Paul area, Minnesota since July 2007. My responsibilities include research development of products related to information extraction.

To achieve the complexity of human written text in text generation systems, I was interested in combining clauses based on pragmatic, contextual, grammatical and lexical information. While I was working in the Intelligent Multimedia Interface group at IBM Research, I proposed a hybrid approach to integrate case-based reasoning (CBR) and rule-based approaches to create an efficient and highly accurate surface realizer for dialogue systems.

• Thesis: Clause Aggregation: An approach to generating concise text [.ps,.pdf]. The thesis core is around 200 pages, with a 150 pages appendix containing annotated corpus.
