Abstract for group PicFrame We are proposing to use the XSB-300E.s Compact Flash interface and video output to implement a digital picture frame. We are designing it to be as simple as possible for an end user to utilize on a daily basis. We hope to be able to insert the card, and use the buttons that are on the board to be able to step through the pictures that are on the card. The picture will then be statically displayed through the VGA port onto the monitor that is hooked to the board. Restrictions?: The neither of us have a card off hand; nor have the abilities to be able to put pictures onto a Compact Flash card (i.e. through a camera that uses Compact Flash). Solutions: If we cannot make due, we might have to change to having the end user attach the board to his/her computer through USB. The user would then use a program to interact with the board. This would allow the user more options, and allow him/her to easily view all pictures on the card, while perhaps making arrangements of pictures etc. The drawback is the requirement of a whole computer instead of a small standalone unit.
