Topics for Diploma Theses
Students are encouraged to come up with their own topics related to any aspect of the sound structure of speech. Some general suggestions are listed below.

Comparative investigation of prosody in the speech of Slovak/Hungarian and British/American news broadcasters.
Comparative investigation of vowel quantity in English and Slovak/Hungarian.
Experimental investigation of phonetic differences in two or more dialects of English.
Prosodic signals for turn-taking in collaborative dialogues.
