An Experiment on Sentence Ordering in Multidocument Summarization

Goal of the experiment

We are looking for constraints on how paragraphs are ordered within a text. For this we investigate how humans solve this problem.

The Task

The task you will be doing should take approx. 30 minutes.

For each text, we provide you with a set of paragraphs in a random order. Your task is to order them so it produces a coherent text.

Because we do not want you to take into account explicit references while ordering the paragraphs ("The murderer" and later in the text "He" for instance), we removed them (So instead we put "the murderer" everywhere).

When ordering the paragraphs, try to look for which ones should be together, which one should come before another given the text; do not try to use other hints than the text itself.

For each article: Enter your name in the Name box, and move the paragraphs around using the Switch buttons. When you're satisfied with the ordering you produced, click on the Submit! button.
