Call for Presentations
The New York Metro Area Networking Workshop will be a one-day
meeting with presentations (no full papers) selected from submissions
in the form of extended abstracts. Topics of interest include, but are
not limited to:
- Peer to Peer and Overlay Networking
- Internet Services Infrastructure / Content Distribution / WWW
- Wireless / Mobile / Sensor Networking
- Network Measurement and Characterization
- Multimedia Networking
- Resilient Networks
- Network Security
- Network Control and Architecture
It is expected that submissions will reflect work-in-progress and
early ideas, though presentations of more mature work are always
welcome.
We are soliciting two types of abstracts:
- 2-pagers: 2-page abstracts should present an idea or a problem.
The focus of the writeup should be on why the problem is of current
interest: 1) what's new about your problem/approach, 2) how your
results will impact the networking community, and 3) your future
research plan
- 5-pages: 5-page abstracts should meet the same requirements of
the 2-page abstract described above, but can elaborate further or
provide preliminary results.
Submitted abstracts will be reviewed by the program committee and
accepted presentations will be selected based on interest, novelty,
timeliness, and curiosity about the topic. In other words, at this
workshop, a high-level discussion about a new and interesting idea is
preferred over a rigorous evaluation of an old and not-so-interesting
idea.
