Here are the highlights (reverse chrono):
- Graduate student in computer science at Columbia University, New York; received M.S. in 2005
- Freelance technology consulting in Washington, DC
- Program manager at the U.S. Civilian R&D Foundation (CRDF) in Arlington, Virginia
- Science and Technology Centers (ISTC/STCU) program intern at the Center for International Security Affairs [now folded into Threat Reduction] at Los Alamos Nat'l Lab
- Fulbright fellowship to Bombay, India to study renewable energy and sustainable development
- Graduated from the University of Arizona, Tucson, with a B.S. in physics and math
- Semesters studying Russian in Moscow, and Nepali and Buddhism in Kathmandu
- Worked first on thermoacoustic engines, then on laser spectroscopy at LANL
- Spent several summers hiking in Zion National Park
- Attended high school in Brigham City, UT and Page, AZ
- Grew up in Dinosaur, CO and Vernal, UT
