I am a Ph.D. student at Columbia University from Spring 1999. I started working for Prof. John Kender in Fall 2001.

I received my Masters degree in 1998 from the Computer Science and Engineering Department at the Pennsylvania State University. Before that I received my Bachelor of Engineering from Delhi Institute of Technology in the field of Instrumentation and Control.

I  work at Philips Research since October, 1998 in the Consumer Information Management group. We explore solutions for consumer information management relying on content based video retrieval and database management.

Research interests: Video content analysis, Natural Language Processing, Video text detection and analysis.
