Required: W3137 or W3139 (Data Structures),
and W3827
(Fundamentals of Computer Systems). W3824 (Computer Organization) can
substitute for W3827. Good working knowledge of the C programming
language will be assumed.
Recommended: W4824 (Computer Architecture) and W4111 (Database Systems).
The first two classes will review the most important concepts from database systems and
computer architecture relevant for this course, but additional background in those
areas would be beneficial.
