I am a PhD student in the Computer Science Department of Columbia University. I am a member of the CAVE lab and the graphics lab. My advisors are Prof. Shree Nayar, Prof. Peter Belhumeur, and Prof. Ravi Ramamoorthi. Before I came to Columbia University, I got a B.S. and M.S. in Department of Automation from Tsinghua University in China. I had also been a visiting student in Microsoft Research Asia from 2003 to 2004.

Teaching

Teaching Assistant, CMOS W4731: Computer Vision, Fall 2007.
Teaching Assistant, COMS 6998.006: Computational Photography, Spring 2007.
Teaching Assistant, COMS 4995/COMS 6998: Biometrics, Fall 2006.
Teaching Assistant, E6162-01: Rendering: Appearance Modeling in Vision and Graphics, Spring 2006.

Research Interests

My research interests are graphics and vision. In particular, my research focuses on acquisition and modeling of appearance/geometry in real world, analysis of temporal variation / coherence in appearance and geometry, subsurface and volumetric scattering. I am also interested in computational photography, video analysis, and biometrics.
