The Pe'er Lab consistently offers multiple projects at various levels.
Undergraduate & MSc students. Students in computer science or related areas, as well as biology or related areas, can apply to conduct mentored research for course credit, where their degree program or major allows. The relevant course numbers are COMS 3998, COMS 4901, and COMS 6901, section 039, for 3 credits.
First-year PhD students. The lab further accepts rotations of first-year PhD students in relevant tracks of the VIBRE PhD program and the Biological Sciences PhD program.
Instructional assistants. Prof. Pe'er also recruits instructional assistants (IAs) for his courses through the Computer Science department's hiring process. Columbia students interested in an IA role can apply via the CS instructional‑assistant hiring process.
