Hyunwoo Nam (/Hee-yun-woo/ /Nahm/, 남현우) received Ph.D. in Columbia University's electrical engineering department in October 2016. He worked at the Internet Real-Time lab (IRT) under supervision of Prof. Henning Schulzrinne.

His professional interests are in the analysis of video streaming and intelligent content delivery over wireless networks. During Ph.D. years, his collaboration with Bell Labs. and Verizon focused on capacity planning for wireless networks, analysis of adaptive bitrate streaming technologies and future networks such as SDN and NFV for intelligent content delivery over wireless.

He is a senior researcher at Agency for Defense Development (ADD) in South Korea.
