____________________________________________________________________________ CSEE E6861 Handout #33g Prof. Steven Nowick April 24, 2013 ____________________________________________________________________________ ____________________________________________________________________________ FINAL CAD MINI-PROJECT -- CHECKPOINT INFORMATION ---------------------------------------------------------------------------- ======== Overview ======== You will have a *20 minute* required meeting with the TA, on either TUESDAY APRIL 30 or WEDNESDAY MAY 1, to review your initial partial solution to the re-timing CAD project. If you are working in a group-of-two, *both* teammates must show up. You will use *your own computer* to show what you have completed. The checkpoint is to make sure that you are on track. The requirements for the checkpoint are listed below. If it is in reasonable shape, you pass the checkpoint (even if there are some small or even moderate errors). If you do not show up, you get a 5% deduction of your grade for this problem. If you show up, but your solution does not meet the minimum requirements, you will get 0-5% deduction. However, by default, if you have done a solid and relatively complete initial solution, even with some small or moderate errors, you will get full credit. ---------------------------------------------------------------------------- ================= CHECKPOINT SIGNUP ================= Location: TA Room Dates: Tuesday 4/30, 12:40pm - 3:40pm Wednesday 5/1, 1:20pm - 4:20pm The checkpoint is 20 minutes for each group. The signup is first-come-first-served based on a doodle poll. You should signup a slot as soon as possible, but no later than Saturday 4/27 12:00 noon. The webpage for signup is: http://www.doodle.com/rapv95tuzd4pn287 DO NOT FORGET TO *SAVE* AFTER SELECTING A SLOT. ---------------------------------------------------------------------------- ======================= CHECKPOINT REQUIREMENTS ======================= For the checkpoint, you have to *at least* complete your basic tool for *PART I*, and demonstrate it on the *basic correlator example* in handout #33c. For output formatting for the checkpoint (but not for the final submission!), you are allowed to use your own format if it is clear and easy to understand. However, you are STRONGLY ENCOURAGED to complete an interface with the final required output formats specified in Handout #33e. The latter will allow the TA to give you more useful feedback. Your tool should have two modes, *normal and verbose*, and meet the printing content requirements in both modes as specified in Handout #33e. Overall, your output format has to be readable but does not need to be in final required form, but you are encouraged to have final output format implemented! ----------------------------------------------------------------------------
