This is a brief HOWTO for setting up your Mac to print to CS Departmental printers.

You cannot print to CS Departmental printers from the wireless network. You have to be connected to the CS Department network (Jacks in CS offices, Conference Rooms, etc) in order to print to the printers.

On a side note, you are not allowed to unplug network cables from the workstations in the labs to plug in your laptop.

1. Open Printer Setup Utility
2. Click Add button while holding down option key
3. Select Advanced
4. Select LPR/LPD printing
5. for URI, type lpd://username@mandolin/printer-name where username is unchanged but printer-name is the name of the printer you want.
