- Programs Used by JAM:
- RIPPER,
a rule learner by William Cohen (wcohen@research.att.com). JAM uses RIPPER as
one of the learning programs.
- dot, a graph
layout program by Stephen North (north@research.att.com). JAM uses dot for
classifier visualization.
System Requirements
1) Operating System: Solaris, NT, Windows-95
2) Java: JDK 1.1
Changes from previous version (JAM-2.0)
- JDK 1.1 API compatible.
- Data sites may function as stand-alone.
- Single predictions enabled.
- Batch predictions enabled.
- New Graphical User Interface.
- Text User Interface added for increased efficiency.
- Cross Validation and Meta Learning Folding enabled
- Automatic creation of training, validation and testing data sets
- Several bugs/problems resolved.
