hi darren.

it works. and it is fairly simple:

all you need to do is

1) make sure with your (telecom-)provider that you can send data with your
mobile phone

2) install the palm enhanced IR-driver
(www.palm.com/custsupp/dowloads/irenhanc.html) and install everything except
AMX.prc (don't ask me why, i think it's git something to do with old OS3
stuff)

3) set your modem properties to custom, 19200 bps, low, automatic, country:
_other_ (seems to important, too), string AT&F

4) set your network-settings

5) install a mail-client. i use papi-mail (http://www.ses-soft.com/papi)
it's nice, cheap and can do everything i need (up to 5 different
pop-servers) and it uses the built-in email-software
