A summer workshop for K-12 math and science teachers

CS4HS (Computer Science for High School) is a 2-day workshop for high school teachers sponsored by Google and Columbia. The workshop’s aim is to provide teachers with tools, resources and ideas to include computer science in their existing curriculum (whether its math or any of the sciences) and to brainstorm ideas for increasing student’s interest in the field. Speakers include faculty, graduate students, and researchers from Google.

Who is the workshop for?
  • High school math and science teachers interested in computer science
  • No prior computer science or programming experience is required
How much does it cost?
  • The workshop is entirely free (meals included) and qualifies for Professional Development hours from the NYC Dept. of Education.
  • Attending teachers receive $100 Amazon.com gift certificates for educational materials.
