Michael Reed received his B.S. in Physics in 1987 from the State University of New York at Albany. After working in Philips Laboratories' Intelligent Systems Department for three years, he returned to school at Columbia University and received his M.S. degree in Computer Science in 1992. He is currently pursuing his Ph.D. at Columbia, working on model-based object recognition.
