Wireless vs. Wired Security Wireless communications are more vulnerable to security attacks than their wired counterparts.  The very nature of the wireless medium; more open and undetected access; spectrum scarcity and its concomitant increased costs; and protocols designed by different communities with different requirements all contribute to increased vulnerability of wireless communications.  We explore these problems and point out those inherent to the medium versus those that can easily be handled by proper application of well-established technology.
