CureSPIT Controlling Unsolicited Requests and SPIT Calls

    1. CureSPIT aims to reduce unsolicited communication attempts, especially incoming SPIT (Spam Internet Telephony) calls, by enhanced labeling. Labeling mechanisms are usually based on caller identifiers. Additionally, CureSPIT uses “cross-media relations” that both parties have previously had through various communication means such as emails, calls, web transactions, or social network services. The examples for “cross-media relations” are the Message-ID value for an outgoing email and posted contact address for a web transaction. Using our labeling mechanisms, recipients can determine whether they have contacted the originators before.
