Research Area:
I combine electrical engineering signal processing techniques with natural language processing methods to analyze multimodal medical data from the electronic health record, with a particular focus on leveraging information from free text in clinical notes and quantitative EEG. My current work is with data from New York Presbyterian Hospital's Neurological Intensive Care Unit, which I am using to investigate how we can predict the probable course of a patient’s path to regaining consciousness.
