MICE Log In & Profile Edits
- Soon after you register for your first semester as a M.S. student
in Computer Science at Columbia, a MICE account is set up for you. You
can log in and update your personal profile and program plan, view your
course and grade records, and find useful departmental information.
- Once your account is activated, take some time to familiarize yourself with your record and navigating around the MICE system.
- You will be sent an automatically-generated email with your
password when your account is created. Your log in ID is your Columbia
University UNI.
- Go to the MICE homepage and log in to your account:
- To reset your password, enter your UNI username, leave the password blank, and click on the Log on link.
- You'll then see a password reset link at the top of the page where you can change your password, if you want or need to:
- Once you have logged in, you will see the main MICE menu page:
- To edit your personal profile, go to the "Persons" menu and select "Edit profile":
- From here, you can input and edit various personal information.
- To
prevent future email list bounces, we strongly recommend that you leave
your email address as your main Columbia address even if you have a
C.S. email account.
- If you do use your C.S. email address, please make sure you
change that back to your Columbia address in MICE if you discontinue
your C.S. account subscription.

- Click on the "Submit" button to save your changes.
- Upload a recent photograph of yourself to your account.
- This will help departmental faculty, staff, and students to get you know you quickly.
- Go to the "Persons" menu and select the "Edit photo" link:
- Locate your photo file (.jpg or .gif) using the browse function and click "Submit" to upload it:

- To edit your contact information, go to the "Persons" menu and select the appropriate link:
- You can add and edit your home and office addresses, postal address, and phone numbers:
- Hit the "Submit" link to save your changes.
