Applying for a Leave of Absence from the M.S. Program

  • M.S. students are allowed to take up to a total of 12 months leave from the program if they have a personal situation that warrants it, they have completed at least one full semester, and their program can still be completed within the five year limit.
  • To apply for leave, fill out a Leave of Absence Form:
MS LOA
  • Fill out all relevant information and ensure that you attach a statement of explanation as to why you are requesting leave from the program.
  • Have the form approved and signed by your C.S. faculty advisor.
  • Submit the completed form to SEAS Graduate Student Services.
