Abstract

I will talk a new method called "Active Search" for quick and accurate searching through a long multimedia stream to detect and locate a known audio/video signal. This method can search a 60 hours' worth of audio/video recording in one second using a special pruning method when searching. The same idea can be applied to find a known object in a room environment with a pan-tilt-zoom camera quickly and correctly.
